Our Founding Financial Director passed away peacefully just after dinner on the 11th April 2025, in her care home talking to the staff.

Doreen Alderton – 24th July 1935 to 11th April 2025, just a few months short of her 90th Birthday.

She was the Founder and Financial Director of the company until her retirement and continued to have an interest as Mother of Ian, Gillian and Graham – the next generation and owners at CISopto.

Long-term family employees also include her son-in-law David Cass and her Grandson Michael Cass, the third generation to work at the company, who is our Director of Operations. She also had Jacqueline Scions-Cass MBE, Phoebe and Jasper Alderton as Grandchildren as well as great Grandchildren, Chloe and Lewis Cass and Jessica and Joshua Scions.

She will be missed by us all.
